Petrichor

Petrichor is a water Genasi Monk/Druid and leader of Myrrdin, a small tribe of Druids that live on the edge of Celestina Bay. A man of mystery, Petrichor arrived in the region several years ago and lived with the other Druids. Seeing that he was clearly way beyond their skill and magical ability, they quickly appointed them their leader, listening carefully to every word that he said, almost treating him as some divine being. Petrichor was always somewhat hesitant at all the unwanted attention, but he felt as though he could help the tribe flourish. Despite this responsibility, Petrichor was always somewhat preoccupied in his day to day activities. He could often be found meditating by the edge of the bay, gazing out on the water. As time passed, the tribe found that Petrichor spent more and more of his time by the water, sometimes leaving for a few days to meditate on the isolated islands in the bay itself. Whenever they asked what he was doing, he just replied with, “I am waiting for him to arrive, as I have been instructed.”

Dark Blight

Balfor, Zook, Leshanna and Letani Proudhorn took a small boat and rowed to the island to speak to Petrichor in person. As soon as Balfor began to explain who he was and why he was there, Petrichor revealed that he already knew who he was and why he was there, claiming that he had been waiting for him specifically, as instructed by the Gods themselves. Before he would answer Balfor’s questions though, he said that he needed to prove his worthiness, challenging him to a battle. Balfor accepted and, with the aid of Zook, did battle with a summoned Water Elemental.
Having defeated the elemental and successfully completing Petrichor’s challenge, Balfor was given a message from the Gods – Petrichor sending him to a dream like world to talk to them. Having delivered his message, Petrichor’s mission in this part of the world was complete. He said his goodbyes rather abruptly, leaving the leadership of Myrrdin in Leshanna’s hands, and left via dolphin form, swimming across the bay into the distance.
