Ser Gormon Meadows is the firstborn son of Ser Donnel Meadows and his wife, Lady Dalena Meadows née Peake, and nephew to the Hand of the King, Lord Gormon Peake. After his father's death Gormon became the heir to the lordship of Grassy Vale.

Ser Gormon Meadows served for years as the captain of the Gulltown guard, under Lord Ryam Redwyne, after resigning from that position he was named Knight Castellan of his uncle's castle of Bitterbridge and tasked with ruling it on his name.

Gormon was knighted by his uncle Gormon Peake at Starpike after winning the joust for squires, on the moment of his victory he crowned his wife, Princess Rhaenys Blackfyre, as his queen of love and beauty.
