The Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is an enormous, multilevel maze, larger than most cities. It has at least ten known levels. Legend says that in the heart of the Labyrinth is a magical totem of immense power. Protecting it are the denizens of the dark.
Thus far, the Labyrinth has held its secrets close, as few adventurers ever come out alive and none have found the totem at the center.

The Labyrinth holds a magical device of immense power. It was built around the totem to keep from the hands of those unworthy of it.

History

The Labyrinth was created during the First Age. It somehow managed to survive the Second and Third Ages unscathed. It is rumored among those who study such things that the magic contained within sealed it off and hid it from view. With the return of magic to the world, it has returned to view.
