The Freezer

The Northern Alliance Deep Sea Storage and Containment Facility, better known as The Freezer, was grown in 4017TA to contain the results of the final phase of Project Kaiju, PK-159A-17, a.k.a. the Behemoth. This monstrous creature could not be stopped by conventional means, thus an extensive program of containment was enacted. The containment procedure culminated in herding the Behemoth to the Freezer and subsequently sinking the self-sustaining facility into the coldest depths of the ocean.

Purpose / Function

The sole purpose of the freezer is to contain the Behemoth.

Alterations

After the The Great Plague, it became obvious there would be no outside help for some time. At that time the staff began the process of making the facility more livable. It was already self-sustaining, but they expanded the living and recreational areas since their six-month tour would not end.

History

The residents of the Freezer continue to monitor the Behemoth in its stasis pod, millennia after the facility's construction.
