Podesta
Podestas are the mayors of Chellian cities. Most major cities in Thalassocracy of Chel, are run by a city council, who elect the Podesta from its members. They are usually very week, but are relied on to manage conflicts between the Merchant Houses.

Duties
Manage conflict between merchant houses, and render judgement on non mercantile judicial issues.
Benefits
Podestal Palace, along with the title Podesta, and a stipened voted given by the city council.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Can be removed by a unanimous vote from the city council, or assasinated by disgruntled merchant house.
