Pah

The pah are a magical species of giant bird about the size of a cottage, that live the peaks of volcanos and great moutains. They have massive claws on their feet, and at the ends of their wings.
Pah will eat all sorts of animals, and also will feast upon the flesh of the Cognizana. Pah are not the most intelligent, instead relying on their strength and speed.
