Guild Currency - Curios

The island is filled with curio artifacts, which date to before the incursion of demons and fey. The higher the tier of curio, the more valuable is is.   The guilds will accept a trade for rare artifacts. Each guild posesses their own Curio Shop, and they price the items per curio accordingly. They look to either use the power stored in the item, or send it to be researched or even sold to the highest bidder.   The curios are tradable between players, but cannot be purchased from NPCs. Each Tier is able to unlock much more expensive items than the last.
Curio Tier Curio Type Description
Tier 0 Coinage This tier of curios can be collected and traded out in larger amounts for more valuable curios. (TRADERS NEVER SELL THESE FOR GOLD AMOUNTS)
Guilds trade 10 tier 4 Curios for a Guild Mint Coin. These coins are what get donated to rank up in guilds along side money earned.
Tier 1 Common The first tier of curios that have a tradable shop, the items in here have magic item shops depending on the guild. Each guild will have a different set of items listed for Common Curios.
Tier 2 Greater The tier of greater curios, these are the Curios that are commonly traded before level 11 for rare items.

Additional NPCs

Sister Cassia - The Trader: Temple traders often are selling nicknacks or holy items, Sister Cassia deals in Curios. You can trade to her curios for curios, of similar value. She has a large quantity stored away in a magical extraplanar storage. She holds this power and as a gift from the Temple she will allow those who wish to trade to do so.
  • You can trade Tier 4 currency for other tier 4 currency at a 1:1 ratio. (4 Exotic Coin for 4 Astralagi).
  • You can trade up to a higher tier for a cost. 12 Exotic Coins for a Common Cult Curio or 6 Common Cult Curios for a Greater Cult Curio
  • You can swap a Greater for commons of another type, i.e Greater Cult Curios for 5 Curio of Darkness.
  •   Jun Ortoi - The Wanderer: There are 4 Wanderers all trading their specialty Curios Magic Items. Jun is the master of Seelie Court's Darkness / Black Scythe Curios.
  • Examples are trades for very rare magic items that a Fae Dark Lord would offer if you were in their court for a Tier 1 Curio.
  • Jun may have a limited supply of higher tier Curios to trade for a lower tier (i.e x2 Tier 1 Curio but will only sell them both for 23 Tier 2 Curios.)

  •   Cavas, Forgotten Spirit: The Spirit Wanderer, of all the Wanderers trading Curios he is a strange anomaly. He trades in the Unseelie Court / Order Curios. He is seen able to materialize the Curios and accept trades, but those who have tried to attack have not seen him again as he moves onto another place awaiting a trade.
  • Examples are selling +1, +2 or +3 equipment but enchanting it with random bonuses that could make a +1 grow and level with you, slowly changing to a +2 over time.
  • Sometimes negative in the randomness of the item that appears with the trade, some risks are involved.
  • Often offers the best price for it's tier.

  •   Rog, Planarkeeper: The Jungle Neutral Wanderer. He's a lizardfolk shaman who finds his way around the Jungle of Beyond the Boundary via the mysterious unmapped fairy ring system. Everchanging portals make it hard to keep a track of where Rog is.
  • Examples are bartering, you can offer Rog a different range to what you would the other Wanderers. He's more into deals and trades to barter to get the items he sells.
  • Bartering too low he will decline be offended and leave, Offering too much for an item, he will doubt your prowess possibly consider asking for more.

  •   Tujen and Gwennen, the Duo Wanderers: the Cultist Occultant Experts. These two are often hardest to find because they only offer to those they believe Just or Deserving. Acts of great Justice or Acts that are deserving of praise can sometimes lead to these two being close by to trade.
  • Examples are trades for lesser tier 4 and tier 3 currencies for Magic Items
  • Trading tier 2 items at a rate that would be considered high but offering a magic scroll or something to sweeten the deal.
  • Accepting trades of another Wanderers specialty Curio for their Cultist rewards.
  •     In the shops available in the Discord #4th-IC-Shop is a thread listed for Guild based Currency shop.
These guilds are looking for rare unused in a century artifacts. The island was overrun by them even before the incursion of daemon and fae. The artifacts are rare and valueable to the right seller. The Guilds are looking to either use the power stored in the item or send it to be researched or even sold to the highest bidder.
The following is the items you will be rewarded with or find in the games played in Beyond the Boundary Westmarches as additional rewards.
