Pre-generated Rites
The following Rites can be performed by anyone who has the Rites skill. These Rites are now common knowledge among those who know how to perform Rites and do not need to be researched.
Other than the specified runes and ending phrase, the specific vocals/content of the Rite can be flexible around the Seidr’s specific background and beliefs. Audience participation should be invited/encouraged, where possible.
Rite of Firm Resolve
COST: 1 OBSIDIAN RUNE
EFFECT: 1 FIRM RESOLVE PER PERSON (MAX. 15)
The Rite of Firm Resolve must take no less than 3 minutes to perform and must take place within a predefined area, e.g., rope circle or similar. During the Rite you must call upon the following 3 Runes:
You must end your Rite with the following phrase:
“By the power is this rite, I grant you Firm Resolve”.
Rite of Sanctuary
COST: 1 OBSIDIAN RUNE
EFFECT: PAUSES BLEED COUNT OF ANYONE WITHIN THE CIRCLE FOR THE DURATION OF THE RITE (MAX. 10 MINS)
The Rite of Sanctuary cannot exceed more than 10 minutes and must take place within a predefined area, e.g., rope circle or similar. This Rite is considered a Chant. If for any reason you cannot continue to perform the Rite (or choose to stop) the effect immediately ends. During the Rite you must call upon the following 3 Runes:
This Rite is a Chant. You must include and repeat the following phrase as part of your Rite:
“By my power and the power of the Runes, I hold your wounds and grant you Sanctuary from death”.
Rite of Binding
COST: 1 OBSIDIAN RUNE + 1 QUARTZ FOR EVERY ADDITIONAL ITEM AFTER YOUR FIRST
EFFECT: BINDS 1 CRAFTED/RITUAL ITEM TO A PERSON’S SOUL. IF YOU LOSE A LIFE, YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY THE VALKYRIE FOR ANY BOUND ITEMS.
The Rite of Binding must take no less than 3 minutes to perform and must take place within a predefined area, e.g., rope circle or similar. The item being bound must have a Lammie and is an item you would need to pay a Valkyrie to keep. During the Rite you must call upon the following 3 Runes:
You must end your Rite with the following phrase:
“By the power is this rite,, I Bind this Item to your Soul”.
Upon completion of the Rite, you will need a Gold Ribbon and a Lammie from a Ritual Ref.
Rite of Unbinding
ST: 1 OBSIDIAN RUNE
EFFECT: UNBINDS ONE CRAFTED/RITUAL ITEM FROM A PERSON’S SOUL.
The Rite of Unbinding must take no less than 3 minutes to perform and must take place within a predefined area, e.g., rope circle or similar. The item being unbound must have a Soulbound Lammie. During the Rite you must call upon the following 3 Runes:
You must end your Rite with the following phrase:
“By the power is this rite, I Unbind this Item from your Soul”.
Rite of Dismissal
COST: 1 OBSIDIAN RUNE + DISMISS COST
EFFECT: DISMISSES ALL CREATURES WITHIN THE CIRCLE.
The Rite of Dismissal must take no less than 3 minutes to perform and must take place within a predefined area, e.g., rope circle or similar. During the Rite you must call upon the following 3 Runes:
All creatures within the circle will be dismissed if the Dismissal Cost is met. The Dismissal Cost is calculated based on the highest Level creature, per Rank. For example:
Three creatures are contained within the Circle, one Greater Level 5, one Lesser Level 3 and one Lesser Level 4. The cost to perform this Rite is 1 Obsidian Rune, plus 5 Hematite (for the Greater) and 4 Quartz Runes (for the highest level Lesser)
You must end your Rite with the following phrase:
“By the power is this rite,, I Dismiss All within this Circle”.
