Edeoxes looks East.

The Eastern League wars were a series of conflicts with nations of the Eastern League, mostly focused around the Edeoxen great powers expanding their influence into and beyond the Great Divide. The largest kingdoms of Shokinkazi, while not directly named as participants, very clearly marched armies across the steppes to resist the Edeoxen nations.
Falkeswin and Marcineaux patched up years of cool diplomatic relations to spearhead the conflicts. While Marcineaux saw some limited success in an early conflict, the battle that brought about the close of the wars is significant. The Battle of Freepassage, a Falkish attack on the warlord held city of Freepassage, was a horrible rout and led to Falkeswin signing a peace treaty that removed holdings in the eastern reaches of Edeoxes and many islands in the south of the continent. The failure of the wars was costly, but a significant plague and several harsh winters put a greater tension on Edeoxes. While kingdoms were rich in gold and material wealth, staples like food, medicine, and building materials began to grow scarce for a time. The continent recovered well enough, with renewed trade from the east and even some from beyond Akend's deserts.
Falkeswin was not so lucky. It's recovery from the downturn was significantly slowed, having lost their lucrative trade outposts and military centers on the continent. The King's power was limited severely as labor movements arose and demanded representation, leading to the creation of Falkeswin's constitutional monarchy and their parliament.
