Andar the Conquerer

Andar was the first King of Skander and founder of the Aldervarg Dynasty.

Legend

Born a peasant boy in the Dwarven Kingdom, Aldar was abandoned in the woods by the Dwarf King's men, for it had been prophesied to the king that a boy with hair of silver would bring about his downfall. But as the boy of seven years fought off wild animals in the woods, he caught Cerawna's eye. She sent him her own companion, a giant she-wolf, Súlfr.
Two decades after that faithful night in the woods, Andar and his wolf marched an army of men and wolves across the Dwarven Kingdom, fulfilling the prophecy of the Dwarf King's downfall, driving the dwarves deep into the northern mountains, where they remain to this day.
In Skandergard they crowned Andar the Conquerer, the new King of Men, the giant wolf always at his side as he ruled.

Andar's reign marks the beginning of the Skandern calendar and lasted until the year 98, when he died of old age.

Religious Views

Cerawna's involvement in Andar's survival and success led him to establish her faith as the most important faith in Skander.
