Session 11? - There's Something about Leeka Report
General Summary
The party takes off with Leeka in the lead, heading west south west by southwest. By late afternoon, they reach the hills the frame the north section of Elmont's farms.
On the downslope of one such hill, Leeka and Weld stop when they come upon a bloody matted clearing in the ferns. A mix of deer, beavers, and unidentifiable animals lie in dried blood, their midsections ripped away. No carrion birds or animals have feasted on them, their eyes still intact. A single trail leads off towards the south and the fence of pines that shade the lake edge.
The party comes to a tall hill with an ancient tree. Leeka says this is her favorite tree and her parents used to take her here as a girl. The party uses it as a camp for the night, making makeshift hammocks in the branches.
During the first hours of darkness, Patch sees a fire bloom in the distance.
After setting off in the morning, the party comes to a copse of trees at the base of the foothills. Within, Volk spots something reclining against a cedar about 50 yds away. This turns out to be the corpse of Hairy Stan, a trapper from the area that Leeka knew of, but not well. Like the rest of the dead found, his midsection is gone, but rot has gotten to the body. Jericho notices that there are three inch or so holes in his right chest at the shoulder and several triangle shaped shallow wounds around the neck and face. Jericho finds Stan's trapper bag containing some odds and ends, snare wire, and a couple small but heavy leg traps. Jericho also finds Stan's dispatcher. The party moves on at Leeka's insisting, her no longer able to look at Stan's corpse.
The party finally crests a hill out from a shallow valley. They find the tip of the lake to their left, only a few hundred yards away, and Leeka's farm to their right. It looks idyllic until one sees the torn and ripped buildings and the rotting corpses of Leeka's farm animals in the field.

- The carcasses of those killed for food by the Deepers are avoided by carrion birds and other such animals. Flies still visit them, but in vastly smaller numbers.
- The Hawks found Hairy Stan's corpse reposed sitting under a cedar tree in a copse just an hour from Leeka's farm
- Leeka's farm has a small village house, a clay dovecot, a chicken house, and planted fields of alfalfa and corn. Corpses of Deeper eaten cows and a goat rot in the sun in the edge of the field.
Notes
The party is out of rations and hungry as they reach Leeka's farm.
This is Hookum Skree's farm house that gets set ablaze as he and his family tries to fight off the creatures. This is the closest the Deepers have come to the more populated and closer together farms. By the end of the day that the party arrives at Leeka's farm (July 25th??), the town will know that something is happening.
Hairy Stan has been dead 8 days now. The holes are from a Deeper's claws that pierced and held Stan as the creatures tentacles attached themselves, poisoning Stan until he could no longer summon the strength to move.
