Personal history
Hailing from Ostervand Thuroc was raised by his merchant father Thingfal Barreljaw after the death of his mother during childbirth, Lillian Barreljaw. The sudden passing of his wife led Thingfal to develop resentment towards his son, seeing him as the cause of his wife's death.
Thingfal had established a small stable within the township of Ostervand after a series of successful trade missions to the rapidly growing settlement in 1111.
His father would die during the War of Tears when soldiers from the Driston Empire raided the town in the Autumn of 1200 leaving Thuroc aged only 51 sole heir to the stables and their lands.
In 1342 Thuroc now a successful business man and well respected within Ostervand would lose his arm to a wild creature that attacked his stables one night.
