The Cordovan Order
A religious order that operates within the Mirage Alliance. Despite their illicit reputation many within the Alliance's leadership consider them a necessary comprimise to control the flow of relics and historical artifacts looted from ruins.
Structure
Led by Master Teklan since its inception each branch has an appointed leader sent from Fort Allimar. These leaders are elders within the Order who have earned the respect of Teklan either through their decades of service or through discovery of important artifacts.
Under these leaders are Chief Acolytes who act as mentors to the newer recruits and inductees. They are responsible for instruction in the Orders traditions and methods, while also acting as parental figures to the younger members.
Public Agenda
While the Order has tried to remain reclusive over the centuries rumors have spread about their exsistane and purpose. To the public they are a strange collective that venture deep into ruins and secret spaces, returning with odd artifacts and scripture. People sometimes abandon their children at places known to the Order in hopes they will be taken in.
History
According to their own history Master Teklan founded the Order nearly 1000 years ago after a vision from Ilusi. She would bless him with an everlasting body to ensure his mission could be carried out.
Written and spoken in Celestail it translates to "Ascention by rememberance"
