Description Emrys is a pale high elf, with long raven black hair, and intense pale blue eyes. It's impossible for you to accurately judge his age and he holds himself with a ever so slight slump in his posture. He is wearing a set of simple travellers attire, with a large, deep reddish-brown overcoat, and a dark brown cloak and hood. He appears to be unarmed. Something that sticks out to you, would be the two rings on his ring finger on his left hand, one of which is a golden ring with a small aquamarine piece in the middle of it, and the other is a silver ring with a emerald green gem on it.
OUTLINE OF BACKSTORY Emrys' family were researchers and interested in the history of the place where they were living, form the creation of the 4 empires, what were the reasons behind the free city states being unaligned to any major nation and why they emigrated to the peninsula from their homeland.
As Emrys grew up, he quickly became invested into his parents work, and wanted to try and help them further their own research, although he felt like they were lying to him about certain subjects.
When Emrys was 38, he was taken out on an expedition led by his mother to do research.
When he was 58, he helped his mother discover something new, that would help further our understanding of the world.
At the age of 70, Emrys, at the urging of his mother, decided to dive into learning the history of Beru, and the stories behind the many civilisations that once decorated the land, though he often forgets details
At 113, Emrys befriended a group of adventurers passing through Stockcross, most noticeably the dwarf Vulk, whom managed to successfully trick Emrys into helping him scout out a heist in the city.
When Emrys was 122, he decided to try and impart some of his knowledge to people via teaching, as well as get the opportunity to study it up close in a magical school. Emrys spent a reasonable amount of his own time becoming a researcher and teacher of the History of Beru, teaching at a magical school despite not being a magic user himself at the time. There at the school, he met several promising students, who each focused on in different schools of magic, being Transmutation, Abjuration and Illusion.
12 years into his school tenure, Emrys and a fellow teacher organise a experiment together, which ends up going awry and leaves his friend in constant pain due and disfigured due to the magical backlash
At the age of 135, Emrys met his wife Liora, who was a lot more outgoing than he was, as well as friendlier than him, and together they had 3 children before she died in an accident whilst she was out at sea when they had been together for 9 years.
After continuing in his job after the death of his wife, Emrys quit his job soon after, using up the majority of his savings and money to take care of his three children till they grew up enough to support themselves.
Once Emrys' money ran dry and his children moved on to pave their own way through the world, Emrys likewise decided to go travelling, scrounging enough money together to purchase an old spellbook to help him learn how to cast magic.
