Blackcloud Peak

The large volcano to the north of Pitax in the Phirean Dynasty
Blackcloud gained its name due to the constant ashcloud that pours from its summit. The mountain provides fertile soil to the whole Dynasty & it's inactive lava tunnels create magnificent underground chambers and tubes which miners often use for exploration.
The mountain itself has not violently erupted for nearly 300 years, though minor eruptions are commonplace. The last significant eruption caused a large magma stream that flowed from the southern edge forming the range of hills that divides most of the Dynasty's lands from The Velentrees swallowing the lands in its path under a path of superheated rock and ash.
The lands around the volcano are warm and verdant, many of the locals use the abundant steam vents for warming their homes, cooking their food and other things. On the western edge is a tower which was established by the Scions of Arcana to study the volcano and therefore warn the town of Pitax of any danger as well as act as a lookout space for the Dynasty.

Height: 1.1 Miles to summit Area: Around 20sq miles
Steep cliffs, loose rock and ash composes the main structure. Caves are common here as well as lava tubes. The crater at the summit is mostly ash, but there is a perminant lava pool as well.
