The Thedar form the heart of the martial might of the empire of Gath. They are known for their morale being unbreakable, and their courage to be unquestionable. Their heroes are warriors, not poets, and most dream of one day becoming their equal.
A Martial Existence
The Thedar begin training with weapons beginning in the first spring after their tenth winter, regardless of gender. They thrive on adversity and conflict, and every Thedar is subject to the harsher strictures of Gathian martial law by choice.
The Perfect Weapon of War
The greatest fear of a Thedar is that they find cowardice in themselves. It is, for them, the subject of nightmares. As a result, a Thedar will always seek to become stronger, harder, tougher, wiser, or more intelligent. For most Thedar, every facet of their lives are built to feed into their quest to become the perfect weapon of war. Some pursue the physical perfection of a more martial existence, while others believe knowledge is power, and those that have knowledge can become the perfect weapon through the use and manipulation of Nathr. Whatever their chosen profession, quest, or calling, a Thedar tend to be singular in their purpose: to become the perfect weapon of war.
