Ardaranyë Military

Ardaranyë military might doesn't come from their numbers, but rather in the quality of their training and equipment. Every Elda trains in basic weapons work, and must serve in some capacity in the military for a term not less than twenty years. During basic training, every soldier receives training to weild the weapons best suited to them, and then cross-trained on every other weapon they are capable of wielding, to a lesser degree. They are also trained to survive in wild and unforgiving environments, and to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
After their required term of military service, those who wish to leave to pursue other interests may do so at their discretion, however those that stay are typically welcome to do so. Though few stay beyond their required term of military service, those who do receive more specialized training in areas that best suits their abilities.

Eldan Swordmasters

"When you see an Elda swordmaster leap into motion, it is already too late."

Eldan swordmasters protect and care for The Speaker, and his family. They are singularly dedicated to the art of swordsmanship, shunning the use of all armor, preferring to wear simple clothing that gives their arms, legs, and hands free movement. The most legendary among them have never been defeated, though tested in battle many times. Their blades are slender and quick, and they often move and attack with surprising speed and dexterity.

Forest Riders of Aradanyë

"Remember to cinch the neck plates of your mount tight, mouse, or else his neck will snap upon impact from the charge! You do that again, and I'll put those neck plates around YOU, and then make sure they're nice and tight, am I clear?!"

The Famed Forest Riders of Ardaranyë are legendary. Ardaranyë fields a full regiment of cavalry, and there are very few cavalry units on the face of Melamar that are as deadly as a charge from the Forest Riders and their heavily armored unicorns.
