Woldari

The Spirit elves are those who shunned contact with not only the Anrasha but the Falsoree as well and instead chose to focus on the world itself. Their chosen home also being a weak point in the barrier between the material and ethereal plane they became very effective bridging the gap between the living and dead. They have a unique relationship with the land and spirits having many Druids and Shamans among their numbers. They are also some of the best hunters and forest stalkers the world has ever seen.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Woldari are about Human height and as agile as the other elves with the same inability to show muscle mass they are a very clever division of elves. They tend to be very pale and have an otherworldly ethereal quality to them that is hard to really describe. Of the Elves they are the only ones to make large use of tattoos, these can be mundane or magical depending on the Elf in question. Their hair tends to be silver, not to be confused with the Mist Elf white hair, the Woldari hair looks like spun silver. Perhaps the most unique change for the Woldari is that they are immune to the effects of the Grave fog of Ursand, while they can still suffer from hypothermia they will not suffer the enervating effects of the fog.

Additional Information

Social Structure

The Woldari left both other elven factions to get away from their rigid lifestyles. They do not have castes; they form loosely organized clans and holds that exist within the spirit woods. These are led by exemplars when there is need of one. Otherwise, they live a very free lifestyle and a knowledge of common sense that forms the basis of most of their rules. There are laws within the Woldari mainly in the form of defense of their home and requirement of service.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Woldari would prefer to avoid all other races but when it comes down to it, they have a tolerance for the Beast races and a respect for the lizard folk of the jungle. They dislike both their cousin species among the elves. Beyond that, they prefer a live and let live attitude, preferably as far away from them as possible.   Relations with other Elves The term active avoidance is the best summary for the other elves. They only ever wanted to be alone and do not try to be as rebellious as the Falsoree. Other Woldari are treated in a friendly manner but the entire race is made of introverts, so the gatherings are always small and between close friends. Otherwise, they are often alone or communing with the spirits.
Alignment & religion: The Woldari are a very firm chaotic neutral in most of the cases. They prefer a life with as few rules or complications as possible. While they are not apathetic to the plights of others, they just do not like being dragged into other troubles. They desire to join the Sylvan courts but there are some aberrations where they seek to become more directly fey spirit, sometimes as tree men or dryads.   Adventurers: While the Woldari are very isolationist there comes a time where they all seek something and so they leave their secluded realms to reclaim forgotten elven magic, or lore of the land, or whatever another thing drives them. This need to see a wider world is accepted by their society as a natural part of becoming mature and experienced individuals. Such Woldari are expected to return in some few decades and take up lives in their homelands once more, enriched both in treasure and in worldview.
