Volgrim's Beard

Volgrim’s Beard earned its name from the first leader of the current Dwarven clergy, the Stone Warden Volgrim. His surname lost to history when he became the Stone Warden, to forever honor him all Stone wardens forever after took on the last name of Volgrim. It was with might and fiery word that the Dwarves became what they are, Volgrim was said to be an avatar of the Triumvirate’s power, the knowledge and crown from Morrirlun Runemane for wisdom, the shield of Rurmerika Magmaheart to shield those who followed him in the embrace of stone and to remain steadfast, and the hammer of Berarlum Greatbrew with which to create a new empire. At the time the seat of the Triumvirate’s power and by extension his was Khel Taruhm. These lands had a steady supply of food, ales, and metal and provided a great deal of the resources to the other provinces when not at war with them. Currently Khel Taruhm is a forward military post for Hammerock and the third most wealthy city in the country. The land itself has a large portion of Beast races that live all over but mostly in the city of Khel Taruhm which serves as their own capital. The major population of this land is Dwarves as Hammerock finds itself in the same landmass and is where most Dwarves of the world call home.

Khel Taruhm

(Tar - Uuum)   Large City; The population of 12,459 is mostly Beast races (79%) and dwarves (9%) with smaller numbers of other races. Stone structures make up the original city with more recent buildings being made mostly out of wood in the outer sections of the city housing newer arrivals. The former capital of Hammerock before the city sharing the same name was created. It was here that Stone Warden Volgrim set out to unite his people under the faith of the Triumvirate that they share now. Following the Platinum Knight, The Warden, and The Architect. Now it is home to a large population of the freed beast races who make up most of the workforce, with only a few dwarven experts and guardsman there to help advise the city and surrounding province. The further you go outside the city you may stumble across the long-forgotten ruins of the time before the dwarves lived underground. The largely broken and burned farms and homes that were destroyed by the ancient dragons long, long ago. Some of these places feel wrong to be in as if the ghosts of those killed remain bound to the land. If you are lucky you may find an ancient vault dating back to the early dwarven culture when they followed the Sunderer and the Champion with their long-lost artifacts still inside.

Khel Khulthar

Ruin; The remains of a town that saw more than its fair share bloodshed and sorrow. In ancient times Khel Khulthar was the place of a great many battles, each trying to secure the growing area, rivers, and rich veins of minerals that lay beneath the city. The final tragedy to befall this city was the dragons. In this city you can still see the scars of the dragon’s brutal vengeance enacted upon the dwarves. Stone buildings partially melted, great rifts in the roads, even the impacts from feet. Even now with the Beast races taking residence in the surface kingdom of Hammerock this ruin remains uninhabited. Many say that it is haunted, that the veil between the world of the living and dead is so thin that you can enter the land of the dead and become lost there while the dead can spill back into the living world as wraiths and ghosts. In more recent years a detachment of Silver Order agents has set up a small township ten miles from Khel Khulthar and appear to be studying it while also keeping many defenses around the town, making it appear more like a fort. The locals refer to it simply as ‘Silver blood Garrison’
