Prismatic Path Organization

A lie may salve in the short term, but only truth can heal a wound. It is through the fire of challenge that impurties are burned away to let the light of truth shine on something. Only then can you claim to understand something, and only then can growth happen.

Culture

The followers of the Prismatic Path are those who believe that only having a single point of view to look at the world limits the way you see the world. Each new perspective you gain adds another color to see the world around you changing things from black and white to true color. Further, they believe that challenge breeds progress, brings about a better, anything but primarily self this challenge is sometimes a fight but in most cases they challenge themselves and others to be better than they are, to keep growing as a person often by confronting and challenging the beliefs of others.   To the followers of the Prismatic Path, challenge brings a purifying flame, a searing light of truth into something. As a result of this many groups dislike them in particular governments and some religions, despite having some similar ideas to the dwarves the Hand has made them enemies of the state of Hammerock for inciting dissent by questioning the gods and government. Many of the common populace does not understand them, thinking them violent anarchists, troublemakers, or just rude people who attack either physically or with words things people feel are part of their identity, such as religion.

Public Agenda

The Prismatic Path simply wants people to be better than they are, to continue to grow as a person. To them to become stagnant is the same as death and so they continue to grow in any way they can. If someone needs help to further themselves then they can be shown the path to walk. The group isn't militant but there is a degree of martial training that they are taught, given the nature of what they do a fight is more or less expected after you challenge someone on something they consider important, more so if you shine a light on an ugly truth.   In particular, they try to fight against inequality, ignorance, and corruption.

Assets

The Prismatic Path has a monastery-library known as the Prism, they constructed in the second era, it is not known where their haven is located to those outside the Path, and only those of a certain standing. They will take people there who wish to go but will insist they be blindfolded or asleep through magic or potion. It is not so much that they are doing things they believe to be dangerous or needing to be secret but they value their privacy from those who would seek to misuse their knowledge or seek to destroy them.

History

It was a group of humans that created the Prismatic Path, those that looked at their fellow humans and could only shake their heads in disappointment and sometimes disgust at how they acted. They saw ignorance reign and intelligence vilified, prejudice based on aspects of a person that they had no say in, such as gender, race, skin, or hair color and they fought to change this and encountered many hardships along the way. In this early stage, they found themselves unqualified their visions to differing and so the young group began to look inward, seeking a way to unify themselves before they could change anything else they first had to see who they were.   Their inspiration came from a passing knowledge on how the system of the Draz Tyran worked, where every dragon was constantly forced to prove themselves, while it was their arrogance and desire for power over each other that drove them it was the idea of the challenge of the self and others that was taken. So the group would spend many months in introspection challenging the beliefs of the members until the began to understand themselves and what they wanted. They came to the conclusion that only when something was challenged did the challenged take a good look at what they believed, and while many are too proud to admit fault those cracks that formed in their arguments could continue to grow and lead someone to change themselves for the better.

Religion

The Prismatic Path doesn't discriminate on religion, they are against forcing religion on someone they believe very strongly against exposing children to the parent's religion until they are old enough to make an informed choice themselves. Once the choice is made and the faith made true by challenging their perceptions of it and what it means to them they are free to practice their beliefs.

Education

Education happens both from others and from the self, you can be taught something by another or teach yourself through trial and error. So long as the goal is to learn and grow how you learn isn't of consequence so long as you are not spreading lies or misinformation. While it may take some effort to find someone in the Prismatic Path they are usually willing to teach someone so long as they understand what they are getting into, many of the teachers will only take someone on that they feel will be worth the time, who will take the lessons to heart.
