Ozari Sky Clock

When the humans of the Ozari Empire began to expand out to other parts of the world the more keen-minded among these explorers began to notice that when they roamed away from Ozara (Rhyderia) the time of day no longer matched where they were and those still in the empire. This led to the creation of a standardized time for the Ozari Empire known as the Chronological Tempo. Over time some other variations of the name would be adopted such as the Ozaran standard time, and Chronos Turns. The standard for this was based on the time of day at Castle Skycrest and featured an AM and PM style referred to as Ignar's Ascent (IA) and Lunar's Rise (LR).   As part of creating this standardized time to ensure that all parties knew the new official time a massive clock was commissioned, not in the form of a clocktower but a series of enchanted obelisks that levitate above Norvasul even to this day. Thirteen obelisks exist in total each suspended above a tower above the inner wall of the city. These obelisks seem based on an hourglass, during the day they shine brightly but as the day goes on they begin to dim as the light drains out of them. Once one obelisk dims and the towers all have large bells that ring a number of times equal to the obelisks number and the next one begins to dim and so on until the 13th and final obelisk dims at which point they all flip at once and the bright glow is replaced with a softer glow akin to the moon, the buildings within a few blocks of the towers having star patterns cast over them. This pattern continues over and over, the 13th-hour end is when the sun has set, while the 26th hour ends at sunrise.   As a result of this ancient system, Rhyderia still uses this timekeeping and each city has clocks either mechanical or magical that keep to this schedule.
