The Camp Settlement in Bavo'Sand | World Anvil

The Camp

As part of the great expedition a forward camp was setup on the estuary of a river into the western bay, on the edge of the Jungle that covers majority western end of the continent. Originally it was created as a secure camp, run by the heads of the Expedition as an almost miltary camp, only the adventuring groups, hunters, scouts and a small defense group were allowed within the camp. Over time these numbers grew to become a small but important village on the end of a mist gate from Bavo'sand itself.

Demographics

The people of the village are similar mix to that of Bavo'sand itself, mostly humans but with a good mix of Minotaurs, elves, dwarves, and gnomes alongside. Everyone who makes it their home at now are skilled craftsmen, warriors or important leaders, or have another purpose to be there, like those that run the Drunken Druid inn.

Government

Run by the Council of the Expedition, Enazel Dak'ari, Sofia Elvan, Darius Graen, Yu Chen, Rachel Whiteeyes, with the backing of the Senate, Noble Houses and Guilds which they members of.   The laws and taxations are the same as the city, right now the village is seen as just another ward of the City, and while in time this might change for now it just a new additional to the city and is run in the same way as such,

Defences

A wall that covers 2 sides already with it already being extended along the far bank of the river. But the wall is 12 feet high both across the western and southern sides of the village. Along with towers spaced evenly down the walls as well as watchtowers already built on the northern bank of the river which will connected by the curtain wall in the future.

Industry & Trade

Wood, the Jungle gives a massive amount of wood beyond anything Bavo'sand had locally in generations. But of cause the main wealth and trade is coming from the ancient sites of the Le'shen Elves and the weird technology and magitech that being found wthin them.

Infrastructure

There is a number of craftspeople who have setup shop within the Village, including Barak Ulsan the armourer and Hayley Black, daughter of the famous fletcher and bowage. Tom Black of Blacks Fletcher and Bowages. Most of the stone masons and carpenters don't live within the village but travel daily to help build the defense and buildings within the new settlement.
