Sofia Elvan Character in Bavo'Sand | World Anvil

Sofia Elvan

Baroness Sofia Elvan, a lesser noble of House Elvan, a forever student, she just wants to learn everything about well everything.

Early Life

Sofia was born to Baroness Aleena Elvan, a very distant relation of the head of the house, She was just the average Noble Woman, family had money she didn't need to work, she hosted parties, she socialised and she was seen in all the best places, Just as she was suppose to be, she was married to Baron Victor Elvan, who took the Elvan name at marriage because he was the younger son of a minor noble, which Aleena was the only child of her parents and would inherit when they crosse the veil, so her name was more important. Sofia from a young age was a book worm, she learnt to read almost as quickly as she learnt to walk, talk and all those other things children do as a child. She just seemed to soak up knowledge up from everything she read, she was clearly a natural scholar, and with the Elvan name she got into the best schools and obviously the university, which she proceeded never to leave.

Later Life

Both her parents died somewhat young for Nobles of Bavan but not uncommonly so, Her mother died first and her father seemed to loose the will to live after that, so she gained the title, the wealth and the social position, but unlike her mother she didn't want to be the socialite and just wanted to learn more and more. She graduated with the University from one department and enrolled in another and then another, and then did post grad research for multiple professors at the collage she is now 27 and she still there. But Chancellor Ludovico Elvan decided she need to get out and become of something useful for the House, and due to her wide range of knowledge, in languages, arts, sciences and the arcana, she would be the perfect choice to join the Great Expedition.
