House Yu

The Yu's were originally from a plane of similar outlook to Bavo'sand, and were assayers, traders and bankers, and when the Bavo'sand traders turned up basically started working with them and took over a large chunk of them buy effectively buying the houses and guilds, They control the banks, the wayfare (transport location to different planes etc) and everyone pays a tithe to use them.
The yu's are very much a new noble house, not either one of the original trader king houses, unlike the House Morgan, they arrive in the last few hundred years, they came with a lot of money in trade goods and access to expensive goods. They managed to set up the Fulcrum Guild as a money lending service to many traders and guilds within the city. They managed to buy they way into an older Trader Family which controlled the Wayfare the place of translation between planes and worlds. Over time they affectly became a greater house because of money, knowledge and power of the fact they ran the Wayfare and control those houses ability to translate between Bavo'sand and other places.
Lady Yu Xuanji is the leader of the house at the present time, who one is female which the Older Great Houses thing is a silly prospect, they don't understand that the Fulcrum and the Yu family promote due to capabilities.
