Unity Island

Unity Island is a city-state built on the island of the same name. Located in the Chalice Sea of Uropia, it is the home of many unifying bodies throughout Terrina, including the World Casting League that is the central body of many of the world's Battlecast and Sportcast leagues, the United Terrina Coalition that acts as a mediating and presiding body over the countries of Terrina as well as an intervening organization in periods of strife, and the Human Betterment Foundation, an organization that strives to improve life for all humans across Terrina.

Origins

During the Age of Unrest, many nations fought against each other to claim territory and fight for dominance against other nations. As the modern borders became more defined and the territory lines were being established, it was agreed upon by the major nations, lead by the dominating United Republic of Santander, that a mediating body must exist to settle conflicts between the nations without bloodshed, and while The War of Three Titans began due to Tanga and Karkazov's initial refusals to join the other nations, all of the countries of Terrina agreed to establish the city-state of Unity Island governed by the United Terrina Coalition, which would serve as the both the ruling body of Unity Island as well as a global organization that would work together to settle disputes and find solutions for problems the nations would face.

The City-State of Unity Island

Today, Unity Island is a thriving metropolis with a population of 3.5 million. Originally containing delegates from all around the world, the city expanded to include the ever-growing services and amenities brought over for the comfort of the delegates. Families of the UTC delegates as well as the families of certified immigrants make up the population of Unity City, and they get to enjoy the many malls, nature preserves, amusement parks (including a premiere cast park that is one of the top parks in Terrina), and museums that can be found. With its mediterranean climate and abundant public services offered to its citizens, Unity Islanders can enjoy a high quality of life equal to many nations across the planet.
Somewhat controversially, the city harbors some strict laws that many tourists find disproportionately strict, such as the banning of chewing gum (due to how easy it is to litter), designated areas to relieve pets, and the banning of outdoor drug and alcohol use. While these laws exist to maintain Unity Island's pristine image, the strict enforcement of these laws is a sore point for many visitors.
