Physical Description

Special abilities

As if to counterbalance her sister's super intelligence and ice powers, Blaze was created with incredible physical strength and the ability to emit flames from any part of her body. In their most unrefined state, Blaze becomes wreathed in a flame that has only gotten stronger over time (recently having become blue in what she dubs her 'Incendiary' state) and can melt through even solid steel. Her strength has yet to reach its apex and is still a league below Suplex, but she's nevertheless able to lift a truck overhead and shatter concrete with a punch.

Specialized Equipment

Blaze's most prized possession is her tech hammer. Gifted to her by Cryogen, the hammer works to dampen some of Blaze's fire powers while she's wielding it, allowing her a lot more fine control over their output. It also features an on board computer that can store and download data, analyse a location or even just play games. The hammer has been further enchanted by Graviton so that it's lighter on the upswing and heavier coming down. The hammer's construction of future-tech polymers is the only thing that allows it to withstand the forces with which Blaze is able to hit things with it.

Personal history

Blaze, like her older sister Cryogen, was (or will be) an artificially created superhuman born in the year 2122 in the midst of a seemingly never-ending war. She first met Cryogen when they were assigned to the same squad when Blaze was only six and she quickly started to see the older superhuman as something of a mentor figure.
When, after a year together, the squad was all but annihilated in a surprise attack, Blaze and Cryogen were left as the only survivors. With no way to continue their mission and nowhere else to go, it was Cryogen who committed herself to finding them a better place to go. Over the course of the next year, she put every cell of her superhuman brain to work, resulting in the formation of the world's first time machine.
Thrown back to 2015, the two sisters found themselves at the beginning of Bathala City's superhero boom and a chance meeting with Blue put them on a path that'd eventually see them both becoming popular heroes in their own right.

Education

Blaze has just finished her sixth form education at the Mary Brennon School, graduating with four A-levels.

Intellectual Characteristics

While not the supergenius that her sister is, Blaze was well educated during her short time in the future, giving her an above average understanding of topics even after she missed several years of schooling. Her real gift though is her emotional intelligence, allowing her to be a rock for those who need it, including her sister and friends in The Vanguard. She's good at encouraging people to work together and making sure no-one is unheard in discussions, making her an invaluable part of the team of young heroes.

History

While Blaze and Cryogen are not biological siblings, they were both created in the same processing facility, Blaze for front-line operations, and Cryogen as a tactician and overseer. The two wound up in the same unit as the 22nd century war was drawing to a close, but before they had a chance to see a ceasefire, their entire unit was devastated in an ambush, leaving the two stranded and without anyone else to rely upon but each other.
While their differing personalities clashed at first, Blaze and Cryogen came to see the value in the other's way of doing things. The soft-hearted Blaze came to see Cryogen's often stoic demeanour as a point of stability in the dangerous world around them, and the latter came to see the younger soldier's sunnier disposition as a reminder that there are things worth fighting for beyond victory, and her ability to smash anything that got in their way definitely didn't hurt.
Over the proceeding months, the two came to see each other as sisters, bonding over their shared origin and shared fate, while Blaze helped Crogen create her magnum opus: a device capable of sending them backwards in time, in the hopes that they might be able to avert the cause of the war altogether.

Nicknames & Petnames

Blaze has a number of nicknames for her sister, ranging from the simple (Cryo is a common one), to the more eclectic, including the likes of Big C, Cold Shoulder, Ice Queen, and the list goes on.
Cryogen, by contrast, isn't usually one for nicknames. The closest Blaze gets is Idiot.
