Session 45: The Tundra
General Summary
26th Conditori:
The Freelancers have been asked by Daemon Sharpcrest to look for Purgatory's Chief Hunter, Indira, who has been gone for a month on an expedition to look for better, more reliable hunting grounds.
We were warned of moving rock creatures and that if we were to see them, just run.
Indira wields a large bow, but other than that that's the description we have at the moment - Penitence knows what Indira looks like.
27th Conditori:
Robyn asked to invite Peggy Sandcrawler with them since the halfling is very capable but also seems keen for adventure - but after checking the camp, Peggy had already left.
Heading north, they spotted a large, fast-moving creature heading north-west; not the kind of creature that Purgatory eats, therefore not the kind to hunt or consider engaging a fight with.
Bumped into a human hunter, Edmund, who spoke to Penitence and said that hunting had been poor. The dogs he had killed were already rotting at an unnaturally fast rate, but Liv only noted that they were just rotting; didn't seem to be any magical influence, but it was not like anything we'd seen before such as the growths on dead Skirmishers from some months back.
Headed further north to the point where neither Purgatory nor Bastion were visible. Robyn trying to keep a rough map of major locations.
Air feels fresher, no sign of any wildlife.
Rested for the night in a rock-free hollow.
Watches: Saman and Rel, Saman and Penny, Liv and Robyn.

Robyn wakes up suddenly after having a nightmare about the Warforged they encountered but didn't want to talk about it.
28th Conditori:
In the morning, spot that there were two rocks in the north and east that were not there before.
Try and go around them but they unfurl into six-limbed creatures, 3 arms, 3 legs, an eye under each arm, uttering some sort of language we don't understand.
They approach, but after Penny blasted them they weren't very happy :(
Seem to be damage resistant to physical weapons; only seemed hurt by magic.
One swipes at Robyn's coinpurse spilling most contents and then start eating it - when escaping, Saman used Comprehend Languages and understood that they hadn't eaten like this in a while, and that he would be targeted next (based on coin on person).
Continue heading north, then Penny fell down a hole in the ground (that was not seen there before) in front of a cave.
Cave is slate layered, extends quite far, went in as far as Rel had thrown her torch but Robyn not wanting to go in any further.
Shout for Indira, then a large creature comes down from the ceiling.
