Fort Vigilance

Fort Vigilance is a castle and fort town that functions as the military capital of the County of Geryatdale, as well as the traditional seat of its ruling House of Geryatdale. Established shortly after the founding of the Duchy of Charl in 2R3270, it served as the center of Charlish administration in the region until it was supplanted by Murk around the year 3R4000. It was the launching pad for several Charlish incursions into the Dale and has housed several large armies in its history.; its secondary function is that of a refuge for the people of Murk in case of an anticipated attack, though the distance between the two settlements had made it historically unfeasible save for extreme cases, such as the Sacking of Murk in 3R245. The settlement hosts the count and his retinue, as well as a sizable population composed mainly of Charlishmen and Gerishmen.

Demographics

As immigrating Charlishmen typically prefer it over Gerish-majority population centers like Murk, Fort Vigilance is composed majorly of Charlishmen, with a sizable minority of Gerishmen.
