Session 39: New Butchers Stand: Scallywags of the Grey Coasts

General Summary

Brimstone leads Ilknar and many others back to the ship, moving their mounts at speeds of exhaustion, and forcing to dismount once they arrive at the Scion Fort city and port, walking slowly through the streets, albeit haste is at the heels, for two days ago the changed the world.
Meanwhile, the The Crew of the Horizon's Call bands together as orcs at the port seemingly try to take the Call as a claim for the fall of the Scion Matriarch and her children, where most of these orcs do not fully understand the weight behind those who did commit such acts; they are not to be trifled with, for they killed the Matriarch, a seemingly walking goddess of the ancient Jesharaum. Aikhon attempts to persuade the orcs of this futile effort, but the orcs are zealous towards their aims, and they ignite malicious intent, their druid casting a plant growth to not only grab the whole Call, the ship and crew, but any others moving about for over 300 feet. The kelp rises, and the orc druid attempts to flee in the chaos, allowing other kinfolk to engage with the Cal and bring it under subjugation for the remaining Scion lords after the Matriarch's fall. Aikhon responds with magical dragon breaths that both repell their leader's into the sea but also slow their movements even further as they climb the magical kelp grown from the sea.
However, there are other's docked here at the Scion fort; fishermen, traders, pirates and the like all use this port as a last respite before the far seas, and Valia "The Butcher" jumps from her crew into a Dimension Door caused by her cape to assist Aikhon and the Crew of the Call. Jack and Jim join to ensure a place on the crew, Deoy stops his fishing with a kiss and promise of death, and Chatulkik rises from the depths of the holds of the Call to witness Valia's carnage, rage, and destruction of the hordes of orcs trying to overtake this free-ship.
Additionally -G- was taken by Skaldyr, escaping from his bonds at the same time, he takes advantage and convinces Aikhon to allow him to join the Call, to escape to the sea. Aikhon agrees, reluctantly, asking for the strange man's aid in their escape from the Scion fort.
Chatulkik, Jack and Jim, and Deoy as well as Dosgratin, Pojin, and others all help Valia in slaying the orc hordes, rather just in time for the escaping others lead by Brimstone to get to the Call, to find sanctuary in the open seas. The stop the kelp rising, they flee, and the find new members and hope.
However, Rognur is reluctant to join, seeing the continued chaos that follows the Call. He asks his wife and daughter, Ugala and Shell--"Shall we join?" And they gaze, and they decide, no. Their family deserves to find some peace somewhere in this world, so they arrange to sell Shell's magic sword for passage on a fisherman's boat to lands of tranquility, for a hope and a family finally together.

Their ship finds another horizon, and as The Crew of the Horizon's Call watches Rognur leave them one final time, a barrage of canons greet their flank as the flee. The chase is not over, and the Scions have a juggernaut in the waters, a ship of war and strength, ready to thwart the Horizon's Call's escape.
