Leaving the Horizon's Call

It is penned in the hand of Seren, one of the performers aboard the call, a gorgeous black haired human woman. It is obviously been dictated by a few minds up reading. Scrolling to the bottom, you see the signatures of some familar crew, and some paw prints to match.

Dear Captain Brimstone and Crew,

We send these words with heavy hearts, but hearts that do see a different horizon of our own. We didn't want any hard goodbyes or desperate notions to change minds or hearts, we just wanted to tell our truth, and our worry. As is probably obvious by this point, we are not returning with the crew for the next adventure, and we know this may be hard for some to understand, but we simply cannot follow this path of retribution. The free skies and the waves call us, as well as the inner breadth of what we remember of home. Some of us still seek that, still want that, and we worry that the next steps against the Faces of the King will only lead to an end, one where we do not see sky, sea, nor home.
We pooled our pay together, and we were able to haggle for a boat, Scepsi is a little worried about its floating capabilities, but it is ours, and we have learned enough from Pojin, Ilknar, and Gyc to keep it floating, we are pretty sure.
I, Seren, finally have achieved my dream--my own choice, my own sea.
Reddem, Peanut, Dupuis, and Mauro--with a volunteering guide as Scepsi--wish to return to their home lands. It has been over a year since the great wars, and tehy think maybe now is time. Scepsi wants to see lands that may remind him, hopefully lead him, back to his own strange path. To me, it always sounded like he was talking of some sort of alternate plane. Hopefully he doesn't lead us to some portal to another place, but at least he knows, like us, the sea will lead us to our hearts. We know your hearts are set on this, and we support those decisions, but we cannot condone more wanton bloodshed, as Scepsi says, for the sake of some hopeful future. He has now, and his family needs him years ago. Your kings are not his, he says. Reddem didn't want to say much, but I know I saw some mist in his eyes when I asked. Peanut just wants to wish you all luck, as with Dupuis, and Mauro wants to thank Lady Sasha. He will make a good second mate, I think.

Well, Zenkara and Azare will also come, finding a home themselves amongst the refugees of Dovah in these lands of the Animaesus if not another home, something to start anew. Without them, we would not be here, and it is beautiful to see how they have forgiven Smee and what he was a part of with the Dreaded Captain Hook.

Lastly, Smee wants to write his own...

Thank you Captain and Friends for showing me out of a dark place. I now need to find my light again, my peace.
Good luck.

And with that, I also just want to say thank you. These were some of the greatest moments in my life, but peace sounds good. It does.

Love,

Seren, Smee, Zenkara and Azare (all signatures), but then paw prints of Reddem, Peanut, Mauro, and Dupuis. Underneath, Scepsi as a most extravagent signature, in some language you don't think you will ever understand. Then underneath, in common, you are a light. Don't forget that.

Purpose

To say goodbye... :D
