Astra Crimson, Proud mountain dwarf born middle-class, who father died when she was just a decade old, her mother had to take care of the family of 4, Astra older siblings started to work young to support the family. Young Astra helped out in her family store, meeting several Artisan and merchant children she made strong bonds of friendships with. Astra have only seen noble ladies from afar, and decided young she did not want to become like them, and started dressing up as a boy. During her work in the family store, she used her father magical items changed her sight, in the few moments she held the item she could see more colours than before, and the world became magical. She became fascinated by magic, sneaking out and using her father magical items when she could. Her mother did eventually discover the act, but instead of punishing Astra she brought him to an old friend of her father. He was a wizard known simply as Wulfrik, and he became her teacher and mentor, he thought her for 20 years not only magic but to always do what she believed to be right.
When Astra was 39 a conflict between her and another wizard broke out, it ended in her using the truth and evidence to publicly humiliating him in front of his master and fellow wizards. Astra motivation for this was justice for her friend that the wizard had also humiliated the previous year that had ended in suicide. When Astra looks back on this conflict she gets mixed feelings, she regrets it but in the end, she did the right thing, justice for her friend.
During her adulthood she has had several flings but never found the one. She feels like her friend might have been the one.
Astra is an alcoholic, and has been drinking for years, but she always does what she believes is right and just.
