Peter "Pidlwick" Dilisnya
Herr Peter Dilisnya (a.k.a. Pidlwick)
Peter Dilisnya — known mostly by his stage name "Pidlwick" — was a famous Gnome performer of Zarossia, who came to Barovia c.350 ME to live in Strahd von Zarovich's court. During the First Mistfall, Peter is known to have escaped Barovia, though returned when Strahd awoke once more. Peter's fate after this point is unknown, though he is presumed to have been killed by Strahd.
A mechanical simulacrum of Peter in his stage costume as "Pidlwick" — known as Pidlwick II — was created for Strahd by the toywright Fitz von Weerg, though it was said to be ugly, clumsy, and evil in aspect. The simulacrum is believed to have been destroyed by Strahd, or perhaps one of his guests, when it was thrown down the Great Stair many years ago. Gadof Blinsky, however, believes the automaton still exists, and greatly desires it.
