Fetcher
A Fetcher is a Vistani who is seemingly able to travel beyond the Mists whilst aging with the moon of Barovia, rather than the lands they travel through, essentially allowing them to not age too quickly. Fetchers seek out items, and sometimes people, for the folk of Barovia.
Cultural Significance
Given Fetchers are the only people able to reliably and safely travel in and out of the County, they hold extreme cultural importance for most Barovians. Fetchers are essentially the only way for goods to be imported (and on the rare occasion, exported), thus bringing new wealth and amenities into the County. For this reason, Fetchers often command extortionate prices for their efforts, giving them a bad reputation as vagabonds and racketeers. Therefore, the term "Fetcher" is often used derogatorally.
