Vridium Empire
The Vridium Empire is the oldest nation on Baephios. The Empire has been ruled by the Rigby family since the beginnings of Baephios. The laws of the land are strict and traditional. They have an excellent military and powerful magic casters. The nations main form of trade comes from the northern mines and large fields of crops.
The Vridium Empire is not the riches nation, but they act like it. There is a pride for being part of this nation that almost all citizens have. The capital Balelridge is a classical medievel capital city with the lower class section, working class and what is known as "Higher Ridge" the rich section. There aren't a lot of people that like living in the lower class section. Often you will find people trying to sneak into the Higher Ridge to sell or steal products for coin. The military is very apperant in the capital and the crown's guard here is known to be ruthless.
In the north it is a bit more laid back. They have a big dwarven city there by the name of Sul. Here is where a lot of the laborers work in the Vridium Empire. Coal, iron, copper, gold all the different types of mines you can think of. The mountains in the north are dangerous, but bountiful in minerals. The Frozen plains used to be a normal biome with ocassional winter snow. However, due to the savagery and disgusting behavoir of some "adventurers" who mercilessly killed innocent lives. This caused the Vridium Empire to be cursed to freeze over the years and once it is all frozen, the Ancient Red Dragon, Groagon the Reckless will burst from the active volcano and turn the ice to ash, starting over again. Many have tried to undo this curse and it seems almost impossible to dispell.
The Vridium Empire is also home to some of the strongest adventurers you will ever hear of. While the Noclon Confederation has many many more adventurers, the Empire has a small group of exceptional individuals, known as the Six Jewels to the Crown. These are special warriors/adventurers who have pledge their loyalty to protecting the crown with all their power. Some are mages, some frontline fighters. Regardless they are to be feared in combat and influence. They are essentially celeberties in the Vridium Empire.
Structure
While the Vridium nation is an Empire they still have a royal family and a King and Queen. This was only changed so that the they were different from the Vaera Kingdom. They have a King and Queen a council of Nobles, rich aristocates and heads of guilds. These are the most influential individuals in the Vridium Empire.
Culture
The culture here is very traditionally medieval fantasy. There are festivals with games and food, horseback riding, strength contests, everything stereotypical of a traditional nation. There is definetly a culture for loving the royal family, as well as hating Zochakha.
Public Agenda
The Frozen Plains are the main priority of the Vridium Empire. Their natural resources are dwindling due to the curse and their exports are not what they used to be.
Assets
The mountains to the north are full of precious metals. Balelridge is the largest and the most well protected city in all of Baephios. The Crowns Military of Balelridge is also the largest and best-trained military in Baephios.
History
The Vridium Empire has been around just about as long as Baephios was discovered. The city of Balelridge was one of the first cities established and the eventual royal bloodline of the Rigby's came to be. Legend has it that the Rigby family was the largest and showed their military strength which caused the public eye to appoint them into a position of power.
