The Treaty of Tormhill
The Treaty of Tormhill was the event which was was forced upon Kind Godwin after the desolation of his Dragon Phalanxes at the Battle of ______. It made the Kingdom of Talanthia a vassal state to Telemon and his new empire, and reorganizing it through removing the duchies and high noble ranks (except in the few notable cases which were loyal to the new leadership) while tacitly leaving the rest of the feudal administration intact (including the king). It seems to have been the first, more "gentle" attempt at cowing the resistant kingdom, with the long-term goal of putting a puppet on the throne, while keeping the citizenry from outright rebellion. It also called for the destruction of all cathedrals and churches within the kingdom--a project overseen by Telemon's "Angel Corps"-- and the expulsion of all clergy who refused to swear fealty to the new lord.
