Knights of the Three Lillies

The Knights of the Three Lillies are one of the Knightly Orders who serve the Throne of Ivory directly, being involved not so much as peacekeepers or even shock troops, but known more as protectors of the heritage of the Realm. They are heavily involved in safeguarding historical sites, documents, monuments and ruins. Their outposts can be found all throughout Parensatia around sites of cultural significance, and they even have a branch of researchers whose military training is secondary to their scholarly training. Though many of its members have undergone years of study at the universities in Renelestre, they must undergo extensive tests of their allegience to the crown itself, and to holding an impartial perspective on matters of politics, as their will is that of the prince's pleasure. They take a solemn vow assuring as much, in fact: That they will defend the will of the Throne of Ivory, and what it stands for, regardless of the personal affectations of its members. This vow does not dissolve upon a royal vacancy either, in fact it states quite clearly that they are to serve the office of the prince and uphold its mandate and honour even in the event of an empty throne.
