Palischuk Schism

Inspired by the teachings of the Pravdan prophet, Rurik Zorin, and disgruntled by brutal oppression by the Order of Warlock Knights in Palischuk, Rolovsk, Obnigrad, Brasta, and Koloya, serfs revolt against the Order's control. Two of these serfs, the brothers Vasilej and Bertryll Starosta, lead riots in the city of Palischuk to oust the Warlock Knights from power. Father Kalyu, a Pravdan priest, makes a deal with Jarl Markus Lyubov, a distant Varangian warlord, to help the Pravdans fight the Warlock Knights in exchange for the throne of Palischuk. Meanwhile, Vasilej and Bertryll would lead an angry mob of serfs to storm Palischuk Castle, killing the officials inside after witnessing their terrible atrocities. The Varangians would arrive in Vaasa soon after, driving the Warlock Knights out of Ostraland with Markus assuming the ancient Vaasan title of Knyaz, or King, of the Kingdom of Palischuk.
