Palischuk Schism and Founding of the Kingdom of Palischuk

Political event

The Palischuk Schism began in 1478 when the serf Rurik Zorin received a divine vision from Gospod, calling for the rejection of magic and foreign gods, leading to his execution by the Warlock Knights and sparking a widespread rebellion. Vasilej Starosta led riots in Palischuk, and Jarl Markus Luboff, a Varangian warlord, was summoned by Father Kalyu to defeat the Warlock Knights in exchange for the throne of Palischuk. The decisive moment came at the Battle of Rolovsk, where Markus' combined forces of Varangian Guard, serf revolutionaries, and former Warlock Knights clashed in a brutal three-way battle against the Dranja Confederacy under High Chieftain Vottlu Kaskil and the Warlock Knights under Knight-Vindicator Hulderad. Markus' victory, with the death of High Chieftain Vottlu and heavy losses for the Warlock Knights, secured his rule over the region. By 1479, Markus was crowned King of Palischuk, establishing the Pravdan Church as the state religion and the Druzhina Knights as the kingdom's noble defenders.

In the town of Obnigrad, a serf by the name of Rurik Zorin received a vision from Gospod calling for the Vaasans to keep the Gospel of Mercy, drive out the influence of other gods manipulating the affairs of people, and stop the use of magic. The Warlock Knights execute Rurik Zorin by throwing him off the Citadel of the Iron Sky, so the serfs of Palischuk, Rolovsk, Obnigrad, Brasta, and Koloya rebel against the Warlock Knights, emboldened by Rurik's vision. A Palischian serf named Vasilej Starosta, inspired by Rurik's willing sacrifice, would start riots in Palischuk, eventually storming Palischuk Castle and killing the Order's governing officials.
  By the plead of Father Kalyu, Saint Rurik's closest friend, Jarl Markus Luboff, a Varangian warlord, would march into the Ostraland from the Icewind Dale with his Varangian Huscarls with promise of the throne of Palischuk if the Warlock Knights were defeated. Jarl Markus would rally the serf elder Taisa Volymirich and former Knight-Fellthane Piotr Fyodorich to defeat the Dranja under High Chieftain Vottlu Kaskill and Warlock Knights under Knight-Vindicator Hulderad in a vicious three-way battle to relieve Rolovsk's revolutionaries under former Knight-Vindicator Igorr. This show of force would secure the loyalty of the people, Taisa, Piotr, and Igorr.
  With their commander killed and a huge swath of their force decimated, the Warlock Knights would withdraw out of the Ostraland for the next few years, with Father Kalyu ascending to Bishop and crowning Jarl Markus Luboff as King of Palischuk, who would in turn make Boyars Taisa Koloskiy, Piotr Obnigradskiy, and Igorr Relkov the boyars of Koloya, Obnigrad, and Rolovsk respectively.
