Wychwood

Wychwood is a corporate enclave on the northern Kanaloan continent-island of Moranga. It is the site of Amelin Resources' planetary head office and the location of the company's processing facilities. In addition to the eponymous city, the Wychwood region also includes several large mines, a hydroelectric dam, and the ruins of a nuclear power plant.

Demographics

The largest country of origin for residents of Wychwood is Canada with around 20 percent of the total. Other member states of the Republic of the United Americas contribute large numbers of inhabitants along with other countries in the Anglosphere.

Government

The Wychwood Proprietary Zone is governed by a 3 member management board appointed by the President and CEO of Amelin Resources (currently Alicia Watt-Byrne), with the advise of the company's directors. The 'Triumvirate', as it is known, must make decisions unanimously and has exclusive rights to conduct 'commerce' in their proprietary zone by the UN General Treaty on Extrasolar Commercial Development of 2088. The broadness of the terms of the treaty allow for corporations to essentially govern their territory with no superseding authority.   The current 'Triumvirate' consists of
  • Elias Chen - lawyer and CPA
  • Stella Merritt - mining engineer
  • Brandon Robinson - corporate services
