While looking for Ophelia's younger brother Cooper, the party ventured into the Blighted Woods and encountered an elderly human man.

While looking for Ophelia's younger brother Cooper, the party ventured into the Blighted Woods and encountered an elderly human man.   That man was a wizard by the name of Uriel. After a brief altercation with the young party, and being hit in the balls by Icarus, Uriel escorts the children to safety via a magical doorway. The doorway led them to Uriel's Tower, where he offered them some snacks and after getting to know them offered them an education. The party agreed, the youngsters hopeful about being able to wield magic one day.   He presented them all with a pendant, a semi-tranparent crystal with a purple/pink hue. This crystal would allow them to safely come and go from his tower without activating any of the magical defences he had put in place. In the coming days Uriel made good on his word, and managed to convince the parents & guardians of the characters to let him give them an education.
