Seasonal Patterns of the Iyos Continent

The continent of Iyos has an unusual seasonal pattern that does not correspond with other landmasses that exist in similar locations. Continents located on the Southern Hemisphere typically have their Winter-Summer and Spring-Fall seasons at opposite ends of the calendar year to the continents in the Northern hemisphere. However, Iyos does not follow this norm. It's seasons match exactly that of a continent in the Northern hemisphere. Despite other landmasses that exist on the same and similar longitudes and latitudes as Iyos, none break the typical laws of nature as Iyos does.   Ranging from temperature, weather, daylight and length of day, Iyos breaks the regular norms of what is expected from a region of its location. Despite everything that is true everywhere else, winter time acts like summer and vice-versa. Plants, animals weather patterns all behave exactly how they should during their correct seasons, but their season occur at the wrong times of the calendar.
Many scholars, mages and researchers have studied this strange phenomena, but have yet to explain why Iyos experiences such strange and unnatural variations. Many theories exist, one of the most popular explainations being divine intervention. However, no single deity has been identified as having caused such a bizzarre phenomenon. While many religious groups have tried to allocate credit to their various gods of worship, no singular or group of gods have been officially been given credit for it.
