Her designs were scoffed at by her peers back in Ameros, and eventually Hazirawn recruited her. She knows full well the plan to eliminate magic from the world, which would make magi-tech obselete and unusable. Which means her designs will be the way of the future if things come to pass.
She is attempting to make guns, androids that don't use magic, etc....
