The Slag Fall

The Slag Fall is a series of grouped, massive metallic hills found in the Infinite Battlefield of Dynamia, the Plane of Strength. It is the remains of an Astral Dreadnought slain in battle by Barduumus, The Battlelord, and through unknown means, its body was metallicized and left to crumble and degrade.

Description

The Slag Fall is a tightly group series of hills grouped in a large oblong shape with a wide valley in the center of the two halves. The hills are metallic, silvervine metal. They are made up of long-crumbled boulders and rocks, which show strange striation patterns.   The metal is made of the metallicized remains of an astral dreadnought. The large valley in the center of the two halves appear to have been from a massive wound struck through the monstrosity.   After it was slain by Barduumus, The Battlelord, the astral dreadnought's body was transformed into metal by unknown means. According to kobolds of Dynamia, this was done by Barduumus intentionally. However, it is unknown if this is the truth.

History

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings
Unknown Year
At some point, an Astral Dreadnought entered Dynamia, the Plane of Strength. It is unknown if it wandered there on its own or if it was brought there by some means. After its arrival, Barduumus, The Battlelord, fought and slayed the astral dreadnought, leaving its body on the Infinite Battlefield.   Through unknown means, the astral dreadnought's body was metallicized. Since that time, its body was left to crumble and degrade. Kobolds of Dynamia began to use the metallic remains to craft weapons, armor, and siege equipment.   5A 352
During the early morning of 17 Adroth 5A 352, Chaka had a dream of the Infinite Battlefield. He climbed a great cairn of pilled metallic stones, which was part of the Slag Fall. As the summit, he could see far across Dynamia.   On 22 Adroth 5A 352, Chaka had another dream. He explored the Slag Fall and encountered two kobolds gathering metal. The kobolds attacked him, saying, “The Battlelord killed this for us, not you, outsider!” Chaka killed the winged kobolds and escaped the swolbold by transporting to one of the metal summits.   In the early morning of 26 Adroth 5A 352, Chaka told the Lightbringers about the recent dream. Gertrude Oathenhammer was able to identify the piled metal hills as the remains of an astral dreadnought, though she didn't know how it got there or why it had turned to metal.
