Te'kiil Ocean (tay-keel)

The Te'kiil Ocean is the vast southern boundary of the lands known as Ayndrinor. It touches the continent's southeastern border, at the Morgran Peninsula, and entirely surrounds Ostroven Island. Its far reaches and shores are unknown, since no explorers who set out to chart the area has ever returned to report their findings.
In the west, the ocean meets the Yaegar Ocean near the Faedrion Archipelago and the island of Caladrem. In the north, the ocean forms a large gulf on the southern coast of Ayndrinor, known as the Gulf of Viskii, and in the northeast, the ocean connects to the Midor Sea on the eastern coast of the Morgran Peninsula.
Due to its vastness and mystery, all manner of tales and legends have spawned about the oceans over the centuries. Many islanders believe great leviathans lurk just beyond the settled lands, ready to devour any explorers who venture too far from civilization. Other people believe the oceans are just simply too vast to navigate, with no islands to stopover and replenish supplies. Exploration of the far oceans is always a fantastical pursuit, and many ship captains have taken that route after making a name for themselves on the known seas.
