Haalvin (hall-veen)
The Wrathful Storm
Haalvin's followers or priests are among the most commonly encountered of all the Olcrid. They exist mainly in port cities to bless ships before voyage - though for the learned scholar this seem counterintuitive of what Haalvin preaches, and most conclude these priests are two-faced, hoping the ships will be destroyed by their master. Besides this purpose, many fanatical members of Haalvin's faith parade in the streets publicly calling for cleansing storms to relieve what they see as evil or wrongdoing in their lands. These alleged wrongs can be whatever the fanatics need them to be to convince members of the populace to sympathize with them.
Haalvin's birth is one of the more well-known episodes of divine lore in Ayndrinor. The dark Elder Being Morwyn kidnapped the Nisme Talia by unknown means and then forced her to produce a child with him. This child was Haalvin, who Morwyn planned to use to corrupt Talia's domain of weather and storms to suit more disastrous ends. He had plans to keep Talia and make her produce many more Olcrid children, but a coalition of Deirid and mortals came to Talia's rescue and delivered her back to her loving partner Damara. This infuriated Morwyn, who focused his wrath into Haalvin's upbringing, making sure the new Olcrid would direct as much ire as possible toward the people and lands of Ayndrinor.
