Torvold, the acting leader of Rondorholt, is best seen as a stern, grim man with little joy in his life. He is very stubborn and convinced his way is not only the right way, but the only way. Coupled with his hostility and ill will to recognize anyone who isn't visually strong, he can be a bit abrasive and difficult to deal with.
Despite this, many of the men and women who serve in the defense of the wall under his rule seem to favor him, considering he is always there to join them in their strife, sometimes even climbing down the other side of the wall to fight the invaders head on.
