Halcedion Akail

Overview

Halcedion Akail is an accomplished mercenary and brother to the famous Ryavellan Akail. Always in his brother's shadow Halcedion left Valothmir and travelled to Alisrin in search of work. Ever since he has worked as a solo mercenary on the continent.

Accomplishments and Failures

Halcedion has a flawless record as a mercenary has never failed or been severely injured during a mission. Within mercenary circles in Alisrin, he is considered untouchable and of the highest calibre. One of his most notable achievements was achieving a draw with a Malikri general in a close combat duel. He is the first person to have ever come close to winning.
Despite his near-flawless record, there has been one failure that has lorded over his life. His failure during the expedition into northeastern Valothmir. A party of five reduced to only him and his brother. Most don't recognise his name and thus don't associate him with the expedition. Those that do make the connection tend to learn quickly not to bring it up. Many have speculated the details though none dare ask. A secret that cannot be pried from an unforgiving mercenary.

History

Nothing is known about Halcedion until his failed expedition. Afterwards, he broke off from his brother's shadow and picked up mercenary work hunting creatures, until he could get work on a ship to Alisrin. Once he arrived he picked up contract after contract. Simply going from one job to another getting lost in his work. During this time he became well known within the mercenary circles to a point of infamy. He has received several offers to join the Alisrin army though no response has been made.
