Queen Shava Lunaria

Queen Shava Asími Juste Vaikne Ahnvae Sendiherra Lunaria (a.k.a. Emissary of the Moon)

Queen Shava Lunaria is fair to behold, and executes her will often quietly, but the eyes display an iciness that has shocked many fortunate enough to have an audience with her. Queen Shava has a plan for her people, but she has yet to share what it is with them.

Overview

Queen of Lunaria, and a powerful sorceress. She is a woman of few words, but it is clear by the adeptness with which she handles the Queendom's affairs that she listens very, very intently to all matters concerning her lands. Many suspect that, like King Vimak Helia III, she intends an imperial destiny for her people. If this is the case, then she has been playing her cards rather closely. Instead of launching aggressive actions against her neighbors in a bid to secure more territory and resources, Shava has decided to continue strengthening the bonds between her Queendom and the neighboring northern tribes and Kingdoms as her predecessors have done. In fact, it seems she is pursuing this policy more vehemently than any Queen before her. It is said that she has engaged in secret meetings with the other monarchs and leaders the purpose of which is undoubtedly related to the growing power of Kingdom of Helia. Some believe that perhaps the Queen is not concerned with Helia at all, and may be playing another kind of game entirely. What it could be is anyone's guess, but it's possible that it has something to do with Ancient relics as the Queendom has been purchasing many from foreign travelers.

A Powerful Sorceress

Like all the Queens of her bloodline, Shava possesses an unsually strong connection with the arcane forces. This connection allowed her ancestors to match the might of Helia, which has attempted unsuccessful conquests of Lunaria in the past. The limits of this power are unknown as the exact set of spells any Queen knows is a closely guarded state secret. However, she has demonstrated some of her powers at special ceremonies. She can summon a breeze to add a flair of the dramatic to weddings, knighting, or other such ceremonies. She will also summon ice sculptures as to add further decoration to the ballrooms or courtyards holding special ceremonies.   There is one particular, gruesome story involve a failed assassination attempt. Several Drow assassins successfully infiltrated the royal Luna Palace and were readying to drive a sword through the Queen. These assassins were not quick enough however, as the Queen liquefied them on the spot. She then freezed the remains to make it easier for her servants to dispose of the remains. It is rumored that Shava had preserved some of the remains of the assassins as a trophy. The Archivists Guild has yet to confirm the veracity of this story.

Note(s) from the Archivist:

I was permitted to tour the palace once. It was only in the "public" rooms, but I did catch sight of an ash black urn with four tally marks on it. - Archivist Bob
