Istaëa's Tea

If it wasn't for that dispel potion, I'd have been a statue. Also, I'm never entering Estatua Cave again.
— Artur Neha, Traveler

Overview

Curing wild magic ails requires a potent solution. Enter the Istaëa's Tea, commonly known as the dispel potion, is a drink designed to remove magical ailments from an infected individual. It cannot remove all kinds of magical ails however. For example, Sudden Vanishing is too exotic for this particular potion.   Istaea's Tea might have been made as far back as 458AGC, though records show that it did not enter common usage until 742AGC.

Appearance and Taste

The appearance of the potion is that of a pickle color liquid with faintly perceptible dust suspended in its cloudy solution. The taste is unfortunately vile. The aroma is reminiscent of evergreen trees.

It's a wonder that something so useful is not all that difficult to make, provided one has the appropriate ingredients.
—  Kryspin Stolarz, Alchemist.

Creating the Potion

Creating Istaea's Tea is not unlike brewing tea. It requires boiling water, and then pouring the water through an Alchemist's Tea Bag (a bag containing a variety of exotic ingredients, often found in Alchemist's shops). At the bottom of your vessel of choice should be an ingot of silver. The concoction then has to steep overnight as ongoing chemical reactions run their course and settle into a stable liquid state. Remove the now pitted silver ingot from the drink. The potion should be ready for consumption (Unlike other kinds of potions, spell casting is not required).

Note(s) from the Archivists:

Would the potion be more potent if a mithral ingot was used? - Archivist Edward   It probably would be. You would need to ask an alchemist. Even if it were, not very many people can afford an ingot of mithral.- Archivist Rena
