Caeruleum River

Overview

A large and powerful river found nearly bisecting The Golden Plain . This river is fed by a network of tributary rivers flowing in from the Silver Mountains to the west and the Valtava Mountains to the east. This tributary system has created the Effusis Basin.

The Radiant City of Sol

Along this river is the Radiant City of Sol, the capital of the Kingdom of Helia and the largest city on the continent. This city is only possible in the Golden Plain in part because of the annual flooding of the Effusis Water basin, with Caeruleum depositing the most nutrients during the floods. The resultant nutrient rich soil has allowed for massive agriculture which in turn supports the great city of Sol.

Vimak's Canal

Vimak's Canal is an ambitious project meant to extend the river all the way to the northern shoreline of the Continental Island of Lluvia. If this project is successful, the river would effectively bisect the continental island. This would effectively create a southern Occulus Gate connecting the Shizukana Sea to the Occulus Sea. It would also greatly increase ease and the amount of trade to the Radiant City. However, progress on the canal has been slow due to bandit raids. Many suspect these raiders have outside support, possibly from Helia's rival the Queendom of Lunaria.
